Installation Steps For Your Platinum Tripod Truck Support Pole
The Platinum Tripod Truck Support pole keeps your cover propped over your truck bed, which prevents the pooling of water, snow, and debris. This support pole is the premium upgrade to our standard truck support pole, featuring a tripod base and stability securing straps to keep your support pole in place.
- Start by loosening the tension knob at the bottom of the support pole to open up the tripod base and opening the support frame.
- Loosen the locking rod screw and pull out the extension rod to the desired height.
- Tighten both knobs to lock adjustments in place.
- Use the nylon buckle to attach the webbing straps onto the disc plate to support the cover.
- Lift up the portion of your truck cover near your truck bed.
- Position your truck bed support pole in the center of your truck bed.
- Secure the straps to opposite sides of your truck bed.
- Gently pull your truck cover into place and attach underneath the rear of your truck .
- For areas with high winds, we strongly recommend you also install our Gust Strap - High Wind Straps for additional support underneath your truck cover, which is a separate product from the truck bed support pole.
